Job Duties
- Operational Tasks - Schedule team members and delegate work assignments. Review and approve timesheets. Assist with setting prices and ensuring all product is priced correctly. Develop and implement merchandising plans and displays.
- Inventory Control - Prepare, maintain, and track records concerning inventories and work processes. Manage inventories by monitoring shelves by updating and reviewing weekly inventory reports. Order products and supplies to meet customer requirements. Unload and put away stock. Stock grocery department including facing, filling, and organization of all product items as set by the Grocery Department schematics and ensure tag and pricing accuracy. Monitor inventory and order supplies.
- Supervision - Serve as acting supervisor and main point of contact. Monitor employees’ job performance and personal presentation and discuss any concerns with management. Administer policies and work standards.
Manage scheduling, payroll, and staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Quality and Health / Safety Regulations - Enforce food quality throughout the entire dining room and catering events. Follow all health and safety regulations. Ensure cleanliness of dining, bar area and restrooms.
- Positive Customer Experience - Handle customer concerns or complaints and any public issues. Ensure all staff provides a positive customer experience.
- Miscellaneous - Report all repairs or facility concerns. Look for ways to improve current procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age
- Per 8-hour shift. Stand 4 hours. Sit 4 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. May lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently bend/stoop/twist (greater than 90°), reach below knee level, squat/kneel/crawl, and climb stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail or grocery industry.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in retail management.
- A combination of practical experience and education.
- Good computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficient in functions such as purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, record keeping, and preparation of reports.
- Detail oriented, patient, and conscientious. Follow established procedures and processes and make decisions cautiously in alignment with the standards of the store. Communicate in a factual, polite, and professional manner. Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
