Senior Lean Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Deployment of Lean methodology throughout the Crown enterprise, global business processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Support the implementation of Lean initiatives that support Crown business objectives.
  • Responsible for conducting the standardized and effective development and certification of Subject Matter Experts in the application of Lean tools per Crown’s Lean deployment methodology.
  • Support continuous improvement projects with regards to project direction, progress, and effectiveness.
  • Assess the needs of manufacturing facilities and corresponding operational support functions (purchasing, logistics, and quality assurance, etc.) based on operational performance metrics and improvement implementation and sustainment behaviors.
  • Assess the needs of business processes and corporate functional areas based on performance metrics and improvement implementation and sustainment behaviors.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering.
  • 8-15 years related experience, preferably in Lean.
  • Graduate degree preferred, but not required.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, but not required.
  • Lean methodology and implementation experience is required. 
  • Technical skills such as CAD layout, simulation, problem solving, and lean tool specific training is preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with prior experience working with teams across organizational boundaries are required. 
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)
