Job Duties

• Assemble any and all components of an electric lift truck per specifications of production order travelers and customer specifications.
• Fit and adjust parts for proper alignment
• Perform pre and post check on all parts for defects.
• Perform daily lift truck and hoist pre-operational safety checks.
• Note any missing parts for expediting.
• Must be able to train and assist new operators.
• Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
   

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Read and understand drawings, wiring diagrams, Bill of Materials, and Production Order Travelers. Understand basic math. Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude. Must be able to listen to and understand verbal instructions. Must be able to remember, reason, and analyze.
• Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6hrs., walk 2hrs.,). Occasionally bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, and push/pull. lifting and carrying (occasional from 0 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see and hear. Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work with vibratory tools. Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and includes exposure to dust, solvents, grease, oil and paints. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (use programs such as DACAP and TPM; Total Productive Maintenance)
• Understand D-40 sheets.
• Moderate levels of social interaction
• Must be able to multi-task. Perform same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures. Work according to daily standard instructions.
