Job Duties

• Set-up, adjust, and operate brake press and hydraulic press to from (bend angles), rework, and straighten parts to print specifications.
• Inspect parts per print specifications.
• Change tooling as needed.
• Use a hoist or lift truck to move parts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read blueprints, understand some complex math computations (finding angles, degrees, and measurements, converting fractions), understand basic math, (including fractions and decimals), be able to convert between metric and standard units, knowledge of CNC programming, remember, observe, and problem solving.
• Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 2 hrs.) frequently (balance, torque, push/pull), occasionally (bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, work with arms outstretched). Infrequently work above chest level. Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see, hear, use a foot pedal, and do simple and firm grasping with both hands on a repetitive basis. Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, dust, shavings, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to work safely in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reading inspection measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, square arms is recommended.
