Level 2 Inspector

Job Duties

• Perform inspection activities by collecting data
• Communicating and providing feedback to plant.
• Entering collected data into an electronic file or database.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5s).
• Preparing gages by identifying, setting and issuing for shop floor use
• Calibrating gages per instructions and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Per 8 hr. shift (stand 8 hrs., sit 2 hrs., and walk 1 hr.) occasionally bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance and push or pull objects, frequent lifting and carrying (frequently 0-10lbs. and occasionally 11-50lbs.)
• Must be able to hear, have good vision, distinguish colors, simple and fine grasping with both hands, must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to coolants, lubricants, dust, adhesives, solvents, oils, and weld flash.
• Knowledge of gaging and inspection equipment; ability to read and understand blueprints; basic math skills; communicate (verbal and written) effectively with other people; learn and understand work instructions; retain knowledge; basic understanding of computer work stations
