Job Duties

• Use lift trucks to haul scrap steel and metal from plant to outside storage bins.
• Sort pallets and skids for reuse or scrap.
• Run riding sweeper and scrubber as needed.
• Clean plant restrooms (men/women) and lunchroom as well as other areas within the plant as needed.
• Pick up trash throughout plant.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks as well as a Geni Boom lift.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Per 8 hr. shift (stand/walk 8 hrs.), frequently (bend/stoop/twist, squat/kneel, push/pull, climb stairs and ladders, balance), occasionally (crawl, reach below knee level, work with arms outstretched, work above chest level). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 30 to 50 lbs., occasionally from 0 to 30 lbs.). Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, and do simple grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in environments that include exposure to loud noises occasionally, detergents, fumes, vibrations, dust solvents, oil, and outside temperatures.  Must be able to safely operate floor and carpet care equipment, lifts, and company truck and/or van. Must be able to operate a maintenance cart. Required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as: operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment; determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned such as custodial, food services, general labor, etc.

• Read and follow directions, remember, reason, and analyze.
• Perform the same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures.
• Work according to daily standard instructions.
• Prior experience beneficial.
