MFG Driver- Fabrication GRN / 1st Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use lift truck to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.
• Use various computer programs and perform basic data entry and periodic lookup of information.
• Conduct daily pre-operation safety checks on lift trucks.
• Place and remove loads from the floor, parts train, and rack locations.
• Update and distribute department measurements reporting.
• Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks.
• Comply with safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Per 8-10 hr. shift (sit up to 8 hrs., sit up to 1 hr., walk up to 1 hr.), frequently (balance, push/pull, bend, kneel, squat). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0-40 lbs.)  Must be able to see, hear, write, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibrations, battery acid, and dust. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

 Basic math, read, remember, reason, analyze, do paperwork, understand basic computer usage, and have organizational skills. May require a valid driver’s license. Related work experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Lift trucks, utility knife, banding cutter, handheld computer, computer terminal, phone, calculator, ear plugs, safety shoes and safety glasses.
