Process Technician (Machining)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support daily shop floor operations, resolving production and quality issues.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Participate in the review of rejected parts to determine disposition and further action.
  • Estimate and calculate standard machine times.
  • Update process documentation.
  • Assist with work station and line layouts, balancing of work content, labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions.
  • Operator training as needed.  
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • Read blueprints, understand basic math (including fractions and decimals), knowledge of CNC programming and controls, problem solving.
  • Additional skills and training may be required such as CAD layout, CNC programming, PLC programming, robotics, electrical and electronic troubleshooting, process capability theory, and statistical process control.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have good hands on expertise in CNC machining.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman""><span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman"">Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 2 hrs.) frequently (balance, push/pull) occasionally (bend, squat, reach above shoulder level). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 40 lbs.)    <span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman""><span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman"">
