Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide warranty issue analysis and leadership into product team warranty reduction activities. Apply proven problem solving techniques to warranty issues to ensure re-occurrence is prevented. Help develop and manage a warranty "quick response" team to address key issues immediately. Verify that knowledge/lessons learned are documented for future reference/analysis. Prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports for defining reliability problems and making improvements.
  • Work to continuously improve the Company’s warranty reduction process. Use Lean, Quality Engineering and Six Sigma principles to design / implement specific warranty processes. Develop simple workflows, procedures, standard work, etc. and mentor / guide / train others to ensure the warranty system is understood, used and consistent throughout the organization. 

  • Work closely with Service, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to procure resources, align priorities, manage open tasks and bring corrective actions to a close. Work to communicate with the heads of other departments to ensure alignment of issue management activities and the timely response to warranty corrective action.
  • Help develop and improve periodic and real time state of the art Warranty metrics and monitoring methods. Develop, implement and improve product team warranty reduction operational metrics. Periodically report Warranty performance to the leaders of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Purchasing.




  • This position requires a four-year college degree plus 4 years experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Supplier Issue Management is desired.
  • Good computer literacy, word processing skills (MS Word) and spreadsheet skills (MS Excel) is needed for this position.
  • Certain technical skills and training, such as quality tools and techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are desired.
  • Good Problem Solving skills are required.
  • This position requires an individual with the flexibility to commute to, and work at various Company and supplier locations (less than 25% travel per year.)
