Job Duties

Coordinate the activities of production operations and take necessary action to assure performance goals are met. 

Performance metrics include safety, quality, on-time delivery and productivity. Safety is the top priority and will never be compromised. 

Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are thoroughly investigated and permanent countermeasures completed in a timely manner.Hold employees accountable for meeting performance metrics. Manage and control manufacturing expense, scrap, overtime, farm out and process cost. 

Develop recommendations for capital projects and manufacturing expenses for the annual operating budget.  Assist supervision in the planning of operation and methods to utilize available skills, knowledge, experience, materials, machines and tools to the best advantage of meeting performance goals. Anticipate, analyze and diagnose production problems, material shortages, tooling problems, equipment malfunction to expedite corrective actions. Organize and facilitate production area team meetings and activities.  Provide leadership, direction and training for departmental supervisors and employees.  Ensure that all supervisors and employees are provided with the proper training and motivation to be successful at meeting all Company expectations of them.    Communicate Company policy enthusiastically and in concert with the intent of the policy.  Maintain conformance with Company work rules and policies; issue warnings for violations and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary.  Efficiently manage variations in manufacturing demands.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a four-year degree preferably in business or engineering and at least three years of prior experience, or seven to ten years of equivalent work experience.

Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
