Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer- Foundry

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with the foundry teams to achieve a safe, stable, and compliant facility.
  • Reduce manufacturing costs, apply vertical integration, and achieve 10-year volumes.
  • Work in a team environment, engaging employees to develop and expand manufacturing capabilities in both foundries.
  • Provide manufacturing expertise in the areas of foundry manufacturing systems. 
  • Create a vision for safe future-state conditions within manufacturing processes working with each foundry team.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment towards innovative approaches, supporting company goals and objectives, and leveraging advancing technologies.
  • Develop detailed business cases for new manufacturing processes and present them to the leadership team.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in all aspects of projects including research, capital request, project planning, and manufacturing implementation of robust processes including Project Management.
  • Interact with plant contacts for continuous improvement activities and effective problem-solving methods.
  • Mentor, coach, teach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers in the foundry.
  • Participate in strategic capital planning and implementation.
  • This position will report to an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager in New Bremen, Ohio.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 8-15 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have extensive background in foundry related technology.
  • Strong background in foundry process improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to develop new foundry related technologies.
  • Must have valid driving privileges.
  • Able to work out of Greencastle, IN location and travel to New Bremen, OH for monthly meetings.
    • Able to travel/work out of additional foundries in Noblesville, IN and Martinsville, IL and additional future foundries.
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate technical degree, or four-year technical degree plus business degree preferred.
  • Extensive manufacturing experience including plant operations and global experience preferred.
  • Project Management skills and experience required.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
