Job Duties
- Responsible for managing the daily activities of the parts department in Encore.
- Manage parts crib inventory and adjust as required.
- Facilitate routine inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for shop floor scheduling, parts warranty, line stock programs, and accuracy of parts lists on work orders.
- Conduct meetings with parts personnel to coordinate activities and discuss Issues. Coordinate parts department activities with manufacturing.
- Set parts inventory levels and review periodically
- Monitor overstocked and understocked parts and modify order levels as appropriate.
- Oversee periodic return of overstocked items to distribution center.
- Complete transactions/adjustments such as credit memos in inventory system.
- Conduct periodic part inventory audits and coordinate reconciliations with Accounting.
- Facilitate monthly audit of finished goods.
- Fill in for parts crib personnel as need.
- Oversee the return of defective parts back to the factory.
- Code parts appropriately in Quipware.
- Review and correct associated work orders to ensure parts have been allocated properly.
- Review and correct associated work orders to remove defective parts.
- Drive improvements to parts ordering process to improve work order accuracy.
- Collect and review parts damaged in the Encore process.
- Code parts appropriately in Quipware and facilitate proper disposition of parts.
- Order and track all special sales kits, these include any parts that do not have a normal part number.
- Document new procedures in the Parts Distribution Department.
- Attend meetings, seminars and tour other facilities to compare and improve procedures.
- Work with process technicians and supervisors to drive cost reductions in shop supplies.
- Conduct talent development and personnel review meetings for direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ related experience
- Associate degree (Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED)
- Must have good computer skills
- Occasional travel (0-5%)
- Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
Preferred Qualifications
- A two-year college degree and five years of prior experience in parts distribution are preferred for this position.
- Experience with the Company is desirable.
