Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication

OBJECTIVES

 

•           Recognized process leader responsible for creating, designing, and/or managing any or all aspects of significant manufacturing processes at a plant or departmental level within the organization.

•           Development and implementation of strategic initiatives, manufacturing process development and support, product introduction, manufacturing project management of medium to large projects, as well as general manufacturing support and team participation.

•           Responsibilities also include leadership of continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics.

•           The incumbent will work closely with other manufacturing functions such as production control, quality engineering, purchasing, safety, environmental, and manufacturing management to develop and implement solutions consistent with the goals of the Company.

•           This position may report to a Senior Level Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, or other Departmental Manager.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

•           8-15 years related experience

•           Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

•           Must have valid driving privileges

•           Occasional travel (0-5%)

•           Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

•           Certain technical skills and training such as CNC press brake and laser programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are preferred. 

•           Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussion, meeting, project, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization.

•           Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage medium to large projects, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

•           Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Engineers, Process Technicians, and Supervisors.
