Warehouse / Logistics Engineer

Primary Responsibilities


  • Support current Warehouse and Logistics team in meeting plant and departmental goals. 
  • Lead cost reduction through:  supplier packaging savings, efficiency projects for internal and external part flows, negotiate with vendors / suppliers.
  • Complete monthly Safety and Ergonomic improvement projects.  Use company equipment/resources properly and safely and adhere to safety policies.
  • Help to prepare project justification and recommend new technology / equipment.  Implementation would include:  Equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, work standard measurement and production start-up. 
  • Contribute and improve the material flow process.  Activities will vary depending on project size, structure and phase but may include: data analysis of picking history, line shortage analysis, Improve flow of all materials and people in our warehouse. 
  • Support Warehouse and Logistics (Warehouse, Shipping, Tool Crib, Line Support) teams by participating and at times facilitating weekly update meetings.  Creating work instructions and Purchase Requisitions, Running Kaizen events for the Warehouse / Logistics areas.  
  • Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations.  Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain or APICS certification is preferred) 2-4 years related experience
  • Materials & Logistics experience in Kan Ban, Material flow, Lean principles.
  • SAP:  WM & IM knowledge
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and AutoCad layout. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented able to lead the discussion, meeting, project, etc.  Communicate across all levels of the organization & lead cross-functional teams managing small to large projects.  Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Material Technicians, Supervisors and others in the Materials area.
