Process Technician - 2nd Shift

  • Experienced, recognized shop floor based, technical leader dedicated to a process or production cell. Responsible for manufacturing process improvement and shop floor support. First line of technical troubleshooting on the shop floor, supporting and improving production activities with outstanding hands on skills and problem solving ability. This position reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager, or the Unit Manager.
  • Support daily shop floor operations, resolving production issues, quality problems, and implementing process improvements. Activities might include: Generate N/C programs, Participate in the review of rejected parts to determine disposition and further action.  Estimate and calculate standard times.  Structure and verify bills of materials. Update process documentation. Submit maintenance requisitions. Assist with machinery and equipment installation.  
  • Perform analysis, data collection and documentation of manufacturing processes. Analyze, recommend and implement layout and workflow improvements consistent with lean manufacturing methodologies. Assist with work station and line layouts, balancing of work content, determination of labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions, process documentation, and operator training as needed
  • Work with Manufacturing and Product Engineering to define work methods and work sequences in the development of new products and processes. Participate in design reviews and engineering changes.




1 – 5 years related experience

Associates Degree in Electronic, Mechanical, or Robotic engineering

Occasional travel (0-5%)

Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)





Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.  Previous electronic circuit board assembly experience.  Through Hole and SMT hand soldering experience with J-STD-001 training.  Selective soldering programming experience.  Circuit board failure analyses experience.  Experience with SMT placement machine programming.
