Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Manage Quality tasks and product development deliverables in support of product design, critical feature, and reliability analysis input to product development teams.
  • Coordinate quality department activities to ensure design requirements are conveyed to the unit level and appropriate inspection, measurement, product, process, test controls and procedures are established.
  • Responsible for creation and management of the Quality Plan for product under development. Provide support and analysis required for qualification and compliance of new product.
  • Provide method and design impact analysis to manufacturing engineering and production management from process capability studies for continuous improvement. Support creation and revision efforts in areas with significant impact on product, process, and/or equipment.
  • Provide assistance with measurement system analysis. Support development of production test systems to collect, analyze and report measurements for ongoing improvements.
  • Participate in analysis and reporting of warranty returns. Provide input concerning the impact with current production and new product development.
  • Support development of standard work for key job functions and processes as part of this role.
  • Develop and present professional reports, project briefings, and project management presentations to Management.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability and statistical process control (SPC) is strongly preferred.
  • ASQ (or equivalent) Certified Quality or Reliability Engineer certification and/or PMP certification is desired.
  • Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills are needed for this position.
  • Formal or informal training in problem solving methods (six-sigma, Red-X, 8D) is desired.
  • This position requires an individual with the flexibility to commute to, and work at various Company locations.
  • Must be able to travel 10-20%, including some international travel.
