Job Duties:
- Health Benefits and Retirement Program Support - Support administrative functions of the company’s various insurance plans, Pension Plan, and 401(k) Plan. Follow all administrative processes to maintain compliance with current benefit laws. Calculate employee pensions and/or verification of various forms of retirement benefits and all associated follow-up and recordkeeping requirements for participants and beneficiaries. Assist with research and evaluation of participant issues. Assist with the implementation of new and modified administrative programs, policies and procedures. Conduct employee meetings. Maintain all files and documentation related to the Health and Retirement plans.
- Benefit Relations Representative - Provide support for all administrative functions of the various insurance and retirement plans. Work directly with other Benefit Department personnel, outside vendors, and legal counsel in the administration of the health and retirement plans. Front line point person for employee questions regarding benefits. Serve as a liaison for employees and benefit program providers and administrators to ensure employees get to the correct resource. Assist with the implementation of health plans and plan changes and in the distribution of communication materials to all US locations through a variety of formats and media.
- Reporting and Annual/Monthly/Weekly Processes - Process weekly/monthly billing. Process third-party files for the health and retirement benefit plans. Provide support with the year-end processes, plan audits and special projects.
- Department Support - Maintain Benefits segment of New Hire Orientation presentation and materials for both the in-person and virtual sessions. Conduct new hire orientation meetings and distribute New Hire Orientation materials to all U.S. locations. Assist with benefit-related training.
- Miscellaneous - Maintain contact with Human Resources Representatives and on-site branch HR contacts to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees. Coordinate special projects with consultants and vendors. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Less than 2 years related experience.
- Associate degree (Human Resources or related field)
Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other compliance regulations pertaining to employee insurance plans.
- Good oral and written communication skills, along with good interpersonal and computer skills. Intermediate-level expertise with Excel and other Microsoft Office Effective organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- On-line enrollment experience.
