Job Duties

 

  • Provide Product Development with support and technical direction for engineering tools: CAD, Product Data Management system, BOM’s, information databases, computer software/hardware, and facilities. Assist with development/implementation of infrastructure plans to improve product development and product support operations.
  • CAD Administration - Provide global administrative and technical support of NX CAD Software System. Monitor CAD industry and company product development environment to recommend CAD development opportunities. Facilitate CAD training. Deliver CAD maintenance support. Develop and support company CAD Standards. Program the CAD system for process improvements and automation.
  • PDM System Support - Provide global administration and technical support of PDM system within Crown360. Facilitate training and support process questions and issues. Administer and maintain Engineering Crown360 system authorizations. Collaborate with IT to resolve system issues. Support Production Engineering and Product Development Engineering applications of ERP software. Assist with product BOM’s, ETO, and ER processes.
  • Department Support - Lead standardization of global processes for NX CAD System, applications, and processes (SAP), and engineering requirements software (Jama, Jira, etc.). Provide support for software systems and collaborate with engineering on future needs. Assist with rollout, training, and communication of system updates for Global Product Development Organization. Collaborate with manufacturing, design, quality assurance, and service on engineering functions and procedures. Support facility needs and general administration such as document storage.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance - Maintain New Product Development tools and systems. Assist with Engineering Co-op Program by updating engineering documentation/information.
  • ISO/QMS Support - Perform duties of ISO Management Representative including training employees, coordinating internal audits, holding regular ISO Management update meetings, and maintaining ISO document libraries and records. Communicate and assist with conversion of QMS documentation from regional to global. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree in Engineering or IT
  • 5 years of engineering and CAD experience (Salary will be commensurate with experience)
  • Strong information process/systems and computer knowledge
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to infrequently travel away from company locations, with overnight travel unlikely
  • Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
  • Per 8 hour shift: Sit 6 hours and stand 2 hours. Typical office environment (low noise, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Infrequent lift 11-20 pounds. Occasional lift up to 10 pounds. Physical and mental demands akin to majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proficiency in system administration tasks: user management, file system management, and system patching
  • Experience with ERP software: systems, applications, and products (SAP)
  • Experience using MS Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. PowerShell) for automation
  • Security awareness and best practices
  • Good attention to detail and ability to multitask
