Content Strategist - Experienced

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to help develop content and collateral strategies that support the complete content lifecycle.
  •  Participate in content analysis, inventories, and audits to ensure alignment with global content practices and standards.  
  • Compile results of content reviews to recommend specializations to content models, the component content management system, and other software tools.
  •  Monitor adherence to content models, taxonomies, workflows, and system integrations.
  • Create style guides, training videos, and other reference documentation for content authors to ensure a common Company voice.  
  • Train Content Developers on best practices for content reuse and alignment.
  • Assist in the on-going configuration and enhancements to the content management software tools.
  • Work with stakeholders to align content needs to overall content vision by creating content model concepts, specializations, examples, and templates.  
  • With guidance, update metadata and taxonomies to support content classification, findability, and search in the content management system and delivery platforms.
  • Modify and test workflows, plugins, and system integrations to support omni-channel content delivery and desktop-publishing automation.  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve content and technical issues within the content software ecosystem and communicate resolutions to Content Developers.
  •  Confer with third-party software suppliers as needed


Minimum Qualifications


  • 2-4 years’ related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Management or related field)
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)
  • Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
  • Valid passport


Preferred Qualifications


  • Skilled in visual and written information development.  
  • Experience in authoring structured content for a Global market.  
  • Good written/verbal communications, interviewing skills, project management, organizational and leadership skills.  
  • Research, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.  
  • Knowledge of DITA XML content authoring and component content management systems.  
  • Experience with oXygen Author/Editor, Acrolinx, Ovitas CLS, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe FrameMaker, PTC IsoDraw, Workfront, SharePoint, and translation management systems.
