Job Responsibilities:


HAZMAT Compliance

  • Assign UN Classification in accordance with 49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG Code Regulations
  • Develop and implement transportation instructions for packing, labeling and shipping dangerous goods.
  • Develop and implement company policy and procedures for Hazmat/Dangerous Goods for transportation
  • Update, add, and monitor ERP system data related to dangerous goods for transportation

DOT Compliance

  • Manage the companies DOT Driver Qualification Files and Recordkeeping requirements.
  • Administrator for the requirements of Vehicle Inspections, FMCSA Clearinghouse, Hours of Service, and the CSA information.
  • Obtain permits, registrations, and/or licenses and MCS150  reporting as required for the Company’s DOT number.
  • Develop and Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US state and federal DOT requirements

Educational Programs - Manage, develop, and maintain educational and record keeping requirements as outlined by the Hazmat & US Department of Transportation compliance regulations.

Audit Program - Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure effective and consistent implementation of regulatory and internal requirements for all Manufacturing and Retail locations.

Reporting Metrics - Maintain and develop internal metrics or reports for Hazmat & US Department of Transportation programs. Communicate results to management.


Job Qualifications:


  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business or related field)
  • Frequent travel & Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of HAZMAT/DOT experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in SAP
