<span style="font-family:"72",sans-serif">JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Electronic Test Engineer (ETE) is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving production electronics test systems.  The ETE is responsible for both the hardware design of new Automated Test Equipment and Labview Software development. Support operations by analyzing and diagnosing test system, product issues and implementing corrective actions to improve yield and test time.  This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or Senior Test Engineer. 


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support shop floor operations by resolving Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system issues, In Circuit Test (ICT) systems, quality issues involving test systems, and implementing improvements to test systems.  Activities may include circuit analysis, troubleshooting, analyzing test data, debugging test systems, programming test systems, upgrading software, maintaining software revision control, documentation, purchase requests etc<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plan, design and implement test systems in advance of new product introductions. Design, acquire and assemble equipment to build fixtures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and Failure Analysis Technicians, to resolve any issues concerning electronic products or printed circuit board assemblies failing test.  Support changes to existing product by upgrading applicable ATE and ICT systems.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Keep current on industry test standards.  Assist in the development and maintenance of testing guidelines and test equipment. Some travel or off-site work may be required.  Maintain a clean and organized laboratory.  Perform other duties as assigned.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5-7 years related experience

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bachelor Degree (Electrical Engineering)

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must have valid driving privileges

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Occasional travel (0-5%)

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Four year degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 to 5 years of experience or a two year degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of work experience.  Experience developing, debugging and programming Agilent 3070 ICT systems.  Experience debugging and programming ATE systems using LabView,<span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman""> Python, and Visual Studio. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">.  Experience troubleshooting electronics and analyzing data.  Good communication and interpersonal skills amongst plant floor, suppliers and support staff.  Ability to plan and execute projects involving test systems.  A<span style="font-family:"Helvetica 55 Roman"">bility to develop CAD schematics and mechanical designs for fabrication. Experience working with electro-mechanical systems, wireless networking, RF power testing, and CAN communications.
