Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, assist in developing and maintaining operational systems for new product development. Strategize and develop communication & collaboration tools & methods for the department. Perform tool administrative duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Engineering Operations.

Create strategies to optimize daily operations for product development. Work closely with engineering and other departments in analyzing, improving, and developing engineering infrastructure tools to facilitate product development and ongoing product support. Automate repetitive system administration jobs where possible. Plan for backup and recovery needs of the department. Review incidents involving product development systems and lead root cause analysis (RCA) teams to resolve.

Monitor the software industry and Engineering’s environment to provide recommendations for additional software tools. Collaborate with the Information Technology (IT) team on trials, quotes, rollouts, and general support of engineering tools and systems. Outline, implement, and maintain authentication & authorization measures with the guidance of the Director of Engineering Operations.

Lead the standardization of global processes as it relates to NX, SAP, and engineering requirements software (e.g. Jama). Provide administrative support for these systems and collaborate with engineering on future needs. Assist other business units with the rollout, training, and communication of updates to these systems for the global product development organization.

Plan and deploy Intranet strategies to improve cross-functional communication and team collaboration. Establish departmental and functional requirements for product development reporting needs. Develop and maintain key reports for leadership under the direction of the Director of Engineering Operations. Present strategies and progress to leadership as required. Provide sufficient documentation, training, collaboration, and communication to the engineering staff on tool additions, subtractions, and modifications.

Perform the duties of the International Standards Organization (ISO) Management Representative, including training employees, coordinating internal audits, holding regular ISO Management update meetings and maintaining ISO document libraries and records. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

2-4 years related experience

Associate degree (Computer science, information technology, or related)

Very little to no travel

Overnight stays unlikely

Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in system administration tasks like user management, file system management, and system patching

Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as SAP

Experience using Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel

Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. PowerShell) for automation

Security awareness and best practices

Excellent communication skills to interact with users and technical teams

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
