RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain company grounds including mowing, weeding, trimming, pruning, weed eating, snow removal and other duties.
• Perform maintenance and repair of grounds equipment.
• Operate tractors, mowers, front-end loaders, and other mobile equipment.
• Use company vehicles in job tasks.
• Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report all unsafe conditions and do not perform any unsafe acts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Physical Requirements

Per 8 hr. shift (stand /walk 8 hrs.), frequently (bend/stoop/twist, balance, squat/kneel/crawl, reach above shoulder level, push/pull), occasionally (reach below knee level, climb, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level), infrequently (torque). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 20 lbs., occasionally from 21 to 50 lbs.).  Must be able to see, write, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, and use feet to operate foot pedals.  Must be able to work in an environment that includes exposure to outside weather conditions, fertilizers, pesticides, noise, vibration, dust, solvents, and oil. Must be able to safely operate the various grounds equipment. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment; determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Mental Requirements

Read and understand work instructions and labels, basic math, remember. Be able to perform the same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures. Work according to daily standard instructions. Previous experience preferred.

Tools and Equipment

Must be able to operate hand tools, shovel, pruners, hand and rider mowers, tractors, skid loader, hand and backpack sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, chain saws, weed eaters, ladders, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, and ear plugs.

Previous experience in lawn maintenance is strongly preferred.
