HRIS Manager

Job Duties

  • Human Resource Information Systems Project Management - Define and maintain standards for project management to ensure HR projects are appropriately supported and carried out consistently and successfully in accordance with Company strategy and goals. Take accountability for the success of projects by assigning appropriate staff, monitoring progress, and adjusting as needed. Negotiate priorities across project stakeholders. Assess scope of projects and determine reasonable estimates for deliverables, schedules, and budgets. Identify external staffing needs, assist in vendor selection, and aid in the negotiation of statements of work.
  • Establish Standards - Establish best practices, standards, repeatable processes, and Human Resources dashboards. Establish measurements and monitor effectiveness of HRIS processes and take corrective actions. Manage staff in the implementation of best practices and data governance. Ensure processes are consistent globally. Identify technologies that are appropriate for current and future needs of the business. Assist in creation, management, and support of global Human Resources Information Systems roadmaps.
  • System Collaboration - Work with HR and IT to regularly assess the HRIS system with a continuous improvement mindset. Partner with key stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, and then develop and implement into the HRIS. Work with Organizational Development to develop and deliver training programs to educate HR staff on HRIS functionality, processes, and best practices.
  • Employee Development and Staff Management - Perform the various Talent Development duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development Discussions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, motivating, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.  Interview and hire team members. Create plans, assign work, and produce opportunities to develop leaders.
  • Business Analysis and Customer Service - Work with primary stakeholders and business partners to determine business needs and service levels. Communicate the status of problems and solutions to senior stakeholders. Demonstrate flexibility, diplomacy, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure the effective resolution of competing demands and priorities.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Associate degree (Human Resources, Business, IT)   
    • Non degree considered if 6+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR processes.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems and reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of web technology (e.g., HTML, XML, browsers, SQL).
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience
