Inventory Control Specialist - Facilities

Inventory Control professional to function as an integral team member as part of the Crown Facilities Maintenance group performing purchasing, invoicing, and inventory control activities to support Electrical, Plumbing, Hoist, HVAC, Office Cleaning, Shop Service, Groundskeeping and Building and Construction efforts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Facility Maintenance employees to source parts/services/tools needed for repairs.
  • Follow progress of parts and service orders from request and requisition to invoicing and general ledger account posting.
  • Monitor vendor-managed maintenance parts inventory and check for accuracy of orders and volume of usage and work with Facility Maintenance employees to adjust accordingly.
  • Check in orders and notify end users of delivery confirmation or lead times changes.
  • Work with Facilities leadership to route invoicing to the appropriate general ledger or capital account and monitor monthly and yearly account budgets for overages.
  • Serve as Facilities SME for purchasing and invoicing in Crown 360 and Ariba
  • Develop account reports in MS excel to review and share with Facilities leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency with material flow.
  • Actively promote and support Corporate Purchasing supplier agreements and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate and contribute to development and implementation of purchasing, receiving and payables process and systems improvements.
  • Act as a key user of Ariba Purchasing System for Facilities department.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record. 
    • Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Business.
  • APIC Certification.
  • Ability to lead the discussion, meeting, projects, etc., and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with maintenance and/or machine repair environments. 
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, math and communications skills (both written and verbal).
