Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment of Lean methodology throughout a business function or manufacturing/retail operations.
  • Lead implementation of Lean initiatives that support business objectives according to Company’s Operational Excellence standards.
  • Conduct standardized and effective development and certification of Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the application of Lean tools.
  • Partner with area leadership teams to facilitate development and execution of strategic plans incorporating the development and certification of SME’s and the application of Lean methods.
  • Support sustainment of improvements through leadership team coaching on Company’s Lean Management System principals.
  • Support Company by applying Lean methods to business processes. Lead continuous improvement projects regarding project direction, progress, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other “peer” departments by encouraging and soliciting involvement and buy-in.
  • Drive employee involvement when coaching Lean Leaders, managers, and supervisors on problem-solving, Lean methods, Lean leadership, and strategic deployment.
  • Support assessment activities to verify results of comprehensive Lean implementation and continuous improvement. Perform reviews with functional leaders to create a well-disciplined system that is driving continuous improvement of the process through interaction and coaching.
  • Support Operational Excellence in the improvement of existing Lean modules and development of new modules as new Lean methods are identified

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering)

              Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED         

  • Extensive travel (over 20%)
  • Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)
  • Ten years of technical experience. Successful Lean implementation and structured problem-solving experience. Experience in implementing lean projects in cross-functional organization structures.
  • Good communication, organizational and relationship-building skills with prior experience working with teams across an organization
