Maintenance Paint Technician - Weekend Shift

Job Duties

• Plan, organize, and complete assigned work orders and projects.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Work at all heights utilizing lift trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, snorkel lifts, bucket trucks, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch and paint, surfaces on buildings, and fixtures (inside and outside) utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes.
• Apply materials to new constructions, existing structures, multi-story buildings, alterations, and remodels.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.
• Safely use, store, and label all paint materials, including solvents and cleaners.
• Help maintain paint inventory.
• Operate a company vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
• Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report all unsafe conditions and do not perform any unsafe acts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Interpersonal skills, read, basic math, match paint colors, organize and analyze. 
• Follow well established procedures and work according to daily standard instructions. Must be able to multi-task. 
• Previous experience required.
• Per 8-10 hr. shift (stand up to 5 hrs., walk up to 5 hrs.), frequently (bend/stoop/twist, squat/kneel/crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, push/pull), occasionally (reach below knee level, work with arms outstretched, work above chest level). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 20 lbs.; occasionally from 21 to 50 lbs.). May have to occasionally team lift or use a hoist or lift truck to lift items from 51 to 100 lbs. Must be able to hear, see, write, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, use foot to operate foot pedal. Must be able to work in noisy environments that include exposure to outdoor/indoor temperatures, weld flash, haz-mat conditions, fumes, vibrations, paint, dust, solvents, and oil. Must be able to wear a respirator, safely operate lift trucks, snorkel trucks, a company van, and scissors lifts and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: perform mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.; operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
