Manufacturing Engineer II- Application Team Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for executing the Application Team workflow through each required milestone.
- Understand each systems value proposition and ensure items are not included in requirements that diminish the value creation.
- Lead the development of concise system design specifications that align to musts for value creation.
- Initiate assessment of the safety control requirements and insure they are properly implemented into integrated system.
- Lead project meetings: whiteboard sessions, defining meeting objective, recording decisions, ensuring actions are taken, maintain focus on critical path and prioritize risk items.
- Ensure an efficient standardized approach to development is defined, understood, and applied by all team members
- Highlight and prioritizing critical path and near-term deliverables.
- Coordinate, document and communicate required actions needed for development verification and validation
- Proactive in identifying potential problems and defining action plans to alleviate concerns
- Lead and organize a professional kick-off meeting consisting of but not limited to a defined: RFQ, firm quote, and prevailing thoughts.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to develop proposals that align with project RFQ requirements and objectives.
- Lead situation and decision analyses to assess current conditions and effectively advocate for strategic direction and cross-functional alignment.
- Proactive in maintaining and organizing work areas
- Provide support for other projects and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 16+ years related experience
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must have valid driving privileges
- Occasional travel (0-5%)
- Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four-year Technical and/or Business Degree with relevant experience or project managing the development of integrated manufacturing equipment or systems.
- Knowledge of wide range of concepts, practices, and procedures for integration of an automation into manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate sound analytical and decision-making process.
- Outstanding communication skills to facilitate discussions within cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and ability to prioritize and support multiple projects at once.
- Must be willing to travel, including internationally, 10%-20%.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and take on tough challenges with energy and positivity.
- Consistency and dedication in achieving quality results, even under variety of circumstance.
- Strong multi-tasking skills to project manage many initiatives simultaneously.
