Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with organization leadership teams at all levels to implement continuous flow and process improvements that result in lead time and inventory reductions.
  • Develop the site or business function by supporting the implementation and sustainment of lean systems: 5S, Crown lean Management System, and Crown Challenge; through training and coaching. 
  • Facilitate lean events/projects within manufacturing or business function cells to improve process quality and create capacity by reducing cycle time, inventory, and waste.
  • Teach, promote, coach and practice lean principals and tools.
  • Develop reports, project briefings, and management presentations.  Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead or facilitate value stream mapping and continuous improvement events (kaizen) to identify process wastes and to develop and implement corrective actions. Support the development of standard work, layouts, and process flow diagrams. 
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with supply chain partners to achieve goals and results. 
  • Serve as a Lean SME for training module development.



  • A four-year Engineering Degree with 2 to 5 years of experience or a two-year Engineering Degree with 5 to 10 years of work experience is required.
  • Knowledge and experience using Lean tools such as continuous improvement events (kaizen), value stream mapping, standard work, leader standard work, tier meeting boards, visual management, Gemba walks, 5S, and TPM is preferred.
  • Six Sigma or technical problem solving is preferred.
  • Experience planning and managing projects are preferred. 
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussion, meeting, project, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization.
