Job Duties

  • Use lift truck to move materials and completed parts to proper locations according to production travelers.
  • Use carts to move and deliver materials to proper locations.
  • Place and remove parts from floor and rack locations. Adjust loads by hand as required for safe handling.
  • Verify and reconcile actual line inventory and coordinate with Production Control to resolve discrepancies.
  • Use a computer to access reports, analyze data, and make the appropriate decisions concerning the accuracy or status of inventory in the assembly area.
  • Process rejected materials to be removed out of the assembly area.
  • Process replenishment orders and replenish kanbans. 
  • Perform dock work including loading and unloading trailers, especially when containers arrive.
  • Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift truck.
  • Use computer to enter inventory into ERP system via PC or RF. Receive in and issue out materials. Make any inventory adjustments. Transfer parts among warehouses and locations.
  • Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills, ability to problem solve and make good decisions, and good organizational skills are required.
  • Per 8-10 hr. shift (walk/stand up to 10 hrs.) frequently (balance, bend, push/pull, and reach below knee level), frequently (reach above shoulder level, work above chest level, squat, and kneel). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 45 lbs., occasionally from 46 to 50 lbs.). Frequent climbing to step into lift truck. Must be able to see, hear, write, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals. Must be able to work in an environment that includes exposure to vibration from lift trucks, inside/outside temperature changes, solvents, metals, oil, and dust. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Read, read blueprints, basic math (including fractions and decimals), remember, reason, analyze, organizational skills.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred, but not required.
