Job Duties:
- Treatment of Occupational and Non-occupational Injuries and Illnesses - Assess occupational and non-occupational injuries/illnesses, administer treatment and/or medication as needed, and make appropriate medical referrals if indicated. Follow the "Company Medical Directives", “Medical Policies”, and “Medical Procedures” as written by the Director – Employee Health Services. Monitor the progress and recuperation of occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. Communicate with supervisors and personnel department regarding employee clinic visits or work status after authorization is completed. Document all medical evaluations and consultations in the employee’s medical record.
- Maintain Medical Records and Office Support - Prepare and maintain employee medical records and other record-keeping systems relating to the Medical Department. Comply with all legal requirements regarding employee medical records (federal and state). Log in all clinic visits and off-site interactions for the monthly medical statistics. File, type, input data into databases, answer the telephone, and schedule appointments as needed. Maintain medical inventory and order medical equipment, medications and supplies. Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Assist Physician - Assist physician with all clinic visits including required medical exams, injuries/illnesses, consultations, and return-to-work visits. Perform objective tests and document the health history in preparation for required medical exams. Dispense medications, apply dressings, schedule appointments, and complete other tasks as assigned by the clinic physician.
- Assist with Various Medical and Safety Programs - Assist with the Hearing Conservation Program, the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard requirements, the Respiratory Protection Program, and the Emergency Medical System. Administer the Company’s drug screening programs. Help with company health promotion programs and provide health education and counseling as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Less than 2 years related experience
- Registered Nursing Degree/Diploma
Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to have unrestricted licensure in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois
- Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.
