Project Manager - Automation & Emerging Technologies

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for leading project teams and managing all activities in the project life-cycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing) associated with the most visible and complex projects supporting new product development and/or customer installations of automation technology solutions. 
  • Develop project scope, requirements and guidelines. 
  • Create project schedules, estimates and resource plans.  Assemble and lead project teams. 
  • Facilitate project meetings. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects. 
  • Execute and monitor projects utilizing PMO processes, tools, and documentation. 
  • Manage and evolve PMO project processes as required. 
  • Collaborate with managers of other departments to achieve goals. 
  • Manages multiple simultaneous projects and/or programs as required. 
  • Regularly interacts with senior leadership, third party vendors and customers. 
  • Subject matter expert in Project Management Office (PMO) processes, tools and documentation.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
  • Must have valid driving privileges
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field. 
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience. 
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.  Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project required.  Knowledge of company technologies and business systems helpful. Expert knowledge of PMO methodology, processes and documentation. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward project completion. 
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
