- Investigation - Lead, plan, and conduct internal and external investigations into fraud, misconduct, policy violations, Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and other incidents impacting the organization. Develop investigation protocols and digital forensics guidelines. Maintain evidence integrity and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Prepare clear, actionable investigation reports and brief senior leadership on findings and recommendations.
- Risk Intelligence - Monitor and assess emerging threats and geopolitical, operational, or reputational risks that may affect business operations. Produce timely risk intelligence reports and advisories for decision-makers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate intelligence into business continuity and crisis management planning.
- Due Diligence / Background Checks - Conduct due diligence investigations for suppliers, business partners, and vendors. Assist other departments with issues related to the discovery of potential criminal conduct and report findings. Manage active case files of threats to the Company, company officers, and employees.
- Security Operations and Liaison - Oversee corporate security initiatives, including development and execution of security protocols for facilities, events, and personnel. Maintain strong liaison with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and third-party security vendors. Assist in managing security incidents and provide intelligence input into security planning and risk mitigation strategies. Support executive protection efforts, including threat assessments, travel risk analysis, and coordination of security resources for high-risk individuals or situations.
- Miscellaneous - Support cross-functional projects and leadership with ad hoc intelligence, investigate input, or strategic risk analysis. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, training, and risk awareness initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8-15 years' related experience
- Associate degree (Criminal Justice)
- Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Prior Law Enforcement, military or corporate investigations background
- Occasional travel (0-5%)
- Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
- Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business > 20% per week (more than 8 hours) and an MVR is required
- Per 8-hour shift. Sit 4 hours and stand 4 hours. Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Occasionally lift 11-20 pounds. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Excellent knowledge of investigative techniques, forensics, legal proceedings, and case management.
