Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, oversee implementation, and optimize assembly processes through analysis based on capacity, cost reduction, and/or safety to meet company initiatives.
• Investigate and propose future-state conditions within manufacturing processes with a strong commitment towards innovative approaches and advancing new technologies to develop robust processes and ease of operation interaction while meeting engineering intent of assemblies.
• Demonstrate cross-functional project management skills and provide insight to guide strategic plans for the assembly department.
• Prepare project justification including recommendations, build vs buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities.
• Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, and production start-up.
• Collaborate with product engineering to provide manufacturing perspectives regarding cost estimation, process, schedule development and prototype manufacturing.
• Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations.
• Provide technical direction, leadership, and develop other Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians.

Qualifications:

• 8-15 years related experience
• Associate Degree
  • Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
• Must have valid driving privileges
• Occasional travel (0-5%)
• Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering related field. 
• Must have a broad background in assembly technologies with the ability and willingness to develop and improve processes.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills are preferred.
• Project management experience required.
• Must demonstrate good communication, computer, and organizational skills.
