Job Duties
- Lead planning and inventory control activities by coordinating efforts, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely material supply to support production and customer orders.
- Oversee workflow scheduling by analyzing reports, adjusting production plans, and collaborating with supervisors to resolve capacity and scheduling issues.
- Perform capacity planning by running machine load reports, reviewing capacities with production teams, and recommending subcontracting when necessary.
- Manage shortage issues by monitoring overdue parts, investigating root causes, and working with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and project management initiatives by leading cross-functional projects, promoting lean principles, and implementing standard work practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Associate degree (Business Administration or Supply Chain Management)
- Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Occasional travel and overnight stays (0-5%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Eight to ten years of extensive planning or related experience.
- APICS certification.
- Have a strong understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and be familiar with and able to manage in a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment using software systems, such as SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Microsoft Excel.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
