Job Duties

  • Lead planning and inventory control activities by coordinating efforts, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely material supply to support production and customer orders.
  • Oversee workflow scheduling by analyzing reports, adjusting production plans, and collaborating with supervisors to resolve capacity and scheduling issues.
  • Perform capacity planning by running machine load reports, reviewing capacities with production teams, and recommending subcontracting when necessary.
  • Manage shortage issues by monitoring overdue parts, investigating root causes, and working with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and project management initiatives by leading cross-functional projects, promoting lean principles, and implementing standard work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Associate degree (Business Administration or Supply Chain Management)
    • Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays (0-5%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eight to ten years of extensive planning or related experience.
  • APICS certification.
  • Have a strong understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and be familiar with and able to manage in a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment using software systems, such as SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
