Supplier Quality Engineer II - OneSource

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting Catalog parts inquiries via phone, email, or cross functional plant and service interaction.
  • Conduct research on existing or similar too parts, to quantify current issues and develop corrective action or development plan for the suppliers.
  • Identifying part numbers that require an engineering print from Crown or Supplier.
  • Qualifying Catalog parts to the Crown or Supplier print for conformity.
  • Identifying part number(s) and prints that may require stringent qualification due to impact on safety.
  • Qualifying and conducting capability studies on Catalog parts as required.
  • Conduct qualification research of Catalog parts to support change management activity.
  • Utilizes existing Customer or Technician Service feedback tools to understand parts that are not meeting expectation of use and performance.
  • Manage and control the supplier change management process, preventing unauthorized changes to Catalog part numbers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Other Responsibilities May Include:

  • Perform supplier Non-Conformance identification and communicate with the supplier on containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action resolutions based on the level of risk.
  • Coordinate Supplier sorting activities with involvement from Crown Purchasing and Manufacturing.
  • Responsible for support of supplier product conformance to specified requirements through supplier verification efforts.



  • Associate degree with up to 5 years' experience.
  • ASQ or equivalent Certified Quality Engineer and/or Supplier Quality Professional certification preferred.
  • Background in the development of qualification standards, requirements, and processes is heavily preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, use of quality inspection tools and techniques are strongly preferred.
  • At least 20% travel (minimum of 10 - 20% travel).
