System Engineer (ServiceNow Developer)

Responsibilities

 

Authoring and Delivery Platform Enhancement

Lead and prioritize implementation and ongoing enhancements to the ServiceNow CRM tool.  Make system, workflow, and structure changes to support all teams. Create templates and content models to refine and restructure content, promoting alignment and reuse.

 

System Data Management

Create metadata structures for content classification and improved search engine optimization in delivery platforms. Work with stakeholders to create analytic tools that track the effectiveness of content and knowledge solutions. Modify analytics when needed to meet business goals. 

 

Systems Integration

Understand the Company’s content, data, and business systems as well as delivery platforms. Work with stakeholders and suppliers to build integrations, configure workflows, and automate content delivery. Oversee the integration of the tools such as translation management systems, project management systems, knowledge bases, and other content delivery platforms. Investigate technical issues that arise in these integrations. Evaluate how the system design affects the user experience and configure processes with usability in mind.

 

Documentation

Maintain a log of all system changes and enhancements. Create tutorials to support new processes when necessary. Demonstrate system and delivery platform changes to end users and stakeholders as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

5-7 years’ related experience

Bachelor’s degree (Computer Engineering or Computer and Information Science)

            Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications

Communicate system changes to others with little to no technical experience. Excellent understanding of structured and unstructured content for a Global market. Knowledge of DITA XML content authoring and component content management systems. Effective research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience with oXygen Author/Editor, Acrolinx, Ovitas CLS, SharePoint, SAP Visual Enterprise, Powershell, Linux, HTML, Javascript, CSS, and Google Analytics.
