TOP PAY $36.36 PER HOUR + $1.50 PER HOUR for 2nd/3rd shifts
New Knoxville Plant, 3rd Shift hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:45pm - 6:55am
This is a 3rd shift position. Training will occur on 1st shift before going to 3rd shift.
Job Duties
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment utilizing technical manuals, cloud-based software, and technical phone support.
- Responsible for the Preventive and General Maintenance of all identified machines in assigned plants.
- Function as Lead Technician back-up.
- Work with Lead Technicians on equipment updates and for direction with equipment problems.
- Work with parts specialists as needed for cost effective or alternative parts.
- Use lift trucks and other equipment to move, hook-up, and level machines.
- Utilize basic computer skills. i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Utilize CMMS system for machine repair documentation as needed.
- Maintain parts inventories in each plant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report all unsafe conditions and do not perform any unsafe acts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be able to perform basic math.
- Use handheld gauges and hand tools as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Per 8 hr. shift (stand/walk 6 hrs., sit 2 hrs.), continuously grasp/grip, frequently (bend, squat, crawl, reach above shoulder level, kneel, torque, push/pull), occassionally (work with arm outstretched, work above chest level, climb ladders). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 40 lbs., occasional from 41 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see, distinguish colors, grasp items firmly, and use fine finger manipulation. Must be able to balance, talk, hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to heat, dust, paint, ink, solvents, and oil.
- Must be able to safetly operate company vehicles and lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Read blueprints, basic math, remember, reason, and analyze.
- Prior experience/training from a technical or trade school recommended.
