First Shift 6:45am - 3:05pm
Responsibilities
- Support daily shop floor operations, troubleshoot, and resolve production and quality issues, and implement process improvements.
- Perform analysis, data collection, and document operator standard work.
- Perform new mold trials using Scientific Molding process methodology.
- Perform Mold Preventative Maintenance as required. Documenting and tracking repairs and improvements.
- Assist with workstation and line layouts, balancing of work content, determination of labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions, process documentation, and operator training as needed.
- Work with Engineering to define work methods and work sequences in the development of new products and processes and participate in design reviews and the implementation of engineering changes.
Qualifications
- Must be mechanically inclined and have good computer skills, including experience with Excel is a plus.
- Additional skills and training may be required such as CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC).
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting using a digital multimeter.
- Good communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand basic math.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles including value stream mapping and kaizen is preferred.
- Requires two-year degree and/or five to ten years of experience developing injection molding machine processes. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and relevant years of experience are required to be considered.
