Job Duties
- Communicate daily with Manager or Supervisor to determine work schedule.
- Train, motivate, and monitor job performance of Shop Service Technicians. Inspect repairs and planned maintenance work. Ensure safety practices. Review paperwork and timecards.
- Confer with customers and communicate issues to branch management. Maintain good customer relations.
- Estimate or quote repair cost.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
- Perform operator training.
- Order parts and complete necessary paperwork.
Minimum Qualifications
- Less than 2 years related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior company experience as a Shop or Field Service Technician.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Good written/verbal communication, customer care, organizational, and motivational skills.
- Technical degree preferred.
