Job Duties

  • Communicate daily with Manager or Supervisor to determine work schedule.
  • Train, motivate, and monitor job performance of Shop Service Technicians. Inspect repairs and planned maintenance work. Ensure safety practices. Review paperwork and timecards.
  • Confer with customers and communicate issues to branch management. Maintain good customer relations.
  • Estimate or quote repair cost.  
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
  • Perform operator training.
  • Order parts and complete necessary paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior company experience as a Shop or Field Service Technician. 
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Good written/verbal communication, customer care, organizational, and motivational skills.
  • Technical degree preferred.
